Description
Critical Reading Sections
There are two 25 minute sections That contain a mix of two question types.
Sentence Completion Questions
A sentence is given with one or two words omitted. You choose the word that best completes the sentence.
Critical Reading Questions
There are 5-7 reading passages including one double passage consisting of two related selections. These test how well you analyze material rather than simply recall information.
Mathematics Section
There are two 25 minute sections that test your skills in numbers and operation; algebra and functions; geometry and measurement; and data analysis, statstics, and probablity.
Regular Math Questions
Questions of the usual multiple choice format asking to perform basic mathematics
Student-Produced Response (Grid Ins)
Enter the solution into a grid instead of choosing the correct answer from provided answer choices
Writing Skills Section
There are three different types of writing skills questions: Identifying Sentence Errors, Improving Sentnces, and Improving Paragraphs
Identifying Sentence Error Questions
Test your ability to find erros of structure and usage in sentences. Several words and phrases will be underlined and you have to choose the incorrect phrase (or "No Error").
Improving Sentence Questions
Ask you to revise the part of a sentence that is underlined. Gives five answer choices, choice A being the original phrase. You should choose the phrase tha most clearly communicates the original idea of the sentence.
Improving Paragraph Questions
Ask you to ensure that the revised sentence makes sense in the context of the entire passage. Some ask you about structure and meaning of the reading as a whole.
