If you ask which of the above is good, people say that idli is good because idli is steamed and dont have oil in it.

But for sugar patients idli is not good.

sugar patients should not eat foods that are digested quickly and has lot of carbs in it.
Sugar patients should eat foods that release sugar slowly and longer time.
Idli does not have oil, but it does not have any nutrients either.
