we are doing many work. For example say 60 kg weight person:
  • sleep - not much energy needed.
    energy is needed for organ function.
    1 minute 1 calorie burn.
    1 hour 60 calories.
    6 hours burns 360 or so.
  • thinking also we need energy
  • sitting, tv watching, eating food, listening, writing, reading, speaking
    1 minute - 1.5 calories burn
    1 hour 1.5 x 60 = 96 calories
  • standing work - 1 minute 2.3
    stools, shaving, combing, brushing, cooking, feeding kids, dressing up, Office work sitting and thinking.
    1 minute = 2.3
    1 hour = 138 calories
    8 hours = 8 x 138 =
