Paranoid: pervasive tendancey to be inappropriately suspicious of others motives. Schizoid: indifference to other people, diminished range of emotional experience and expression. Schizotypal: peculiar patterns of behavior, perceptual/cognitive disturbance. bizarre fantasies, unusual perceptual experiences, disotrted speech, silly inappropriate.
Cluster B: Antisocial, Borderline, Histrionic, Narcissitic.
Description
Antisocial Personality Disorder
irresponsible and antisocial behavior that begins during childhood or adolescence and ocntinues to adult years. disregard for and violation of others. aggressive with spouses and children, impuslive, reckless, irresponsible.
Borderline Personality Disorder
instanbility in mood and interpersonal relationships. difficuly being alone, intesne unstable relationships with other people. seen as manipulative.
Histrionic Personality Disorder
excessive emotionality and attention seeking behavior. thrive on being center of attention. self-centered, vain, demanding, seeking approval .
Narcisstic Personality Disorder
grandiosity, need for admiration, inability to empathize with other people. exaggerated sense of their own importance.
Cluster C; Avoidant, Dependent, O-CD
Description
Avoidant
social discomfort, fear of negative eval, timidity.
Dependent
submissive and clinging behavior. afraid of separating from other people unable to make decisions on their own, anxious and helpless when alone.
Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder
orderliness, perfectionism, mental and interpersonal control, at expense of flexibility. tend to be intoleratn of emotional behavior in other people.
