1) half cup tuvar dal + 1 tomato med size cut + turmeric - cook in pressure cooker - grind to smooth paste
2) veggies take any kind: onions bendi, vankaya, potato, beans - put some water and cook in microwave for 5 mts
3) soak tamarind small 1/2 lemon size
4) boil tuvar dal + water to think consistancy + cooked veggies + boil + sambar pd 2 spoons + tamarind juice + mirchi pd 1 spoon + 2 sp coriender pd + 1 sp gira pd +salt 3 spoons + turmeric 1/4 spoon + bellam 1 big + coconut juice + kotmir
5) coconut milk (1 cup coconut grind with warm water and drain two times)
6) talpu: oil + mustard + gira + red chillie whole + fenugreek seeds +ingu + curry leaves + garlic ginger paste
This has a very think consistancy so goes very well with idlis. add coconut milk last and dont boil a lot after adding.
adding drumsticks gives a very good taste
