What projects are worth a lot of points? Is your class mostly test-based?
Revisit week one's strategies. Don't work yourself into a breakdown!
Ask for help! Tell them if/why you're struggling. Ask them to explain grades if you don't understand why you got something wrong or how to make it better.
Be aware that some classes weight homework heavily because there's so much of it. A lot of small-point assignments can really add up!
Most schools have all scores and grades online. Students and/or parents should frequently check the records for any entry errors, missed homeworks, etc. Do this frequently -- dont wait till the end of the semester!
If you have difficulty with any topic, ask for help from teachers, parents, or friends; or consider tutoring services such as Aim Academics.
Do this early, especially for subjects like Math which become more and more difficult if you miss understanding the earlier concepts.
