School Skills

Let us face it -- someone who is a descendant of Einstein, or has an IQ of 200, or has photographic memory, or all of the above, will probably not need much help with school work.  However, the rest of us, "non-geniuses", could use a few smart tips and strategies to cope with pressures of school work and balance academic careers with personal hobbies and social life.

This book provides just that help.  It offers numerous tips and strategies that worked for me -- a succesful student (I hope), my brother -- who did well in school and is on his way to Stanford University, and other succesful students that I know.

Many students work hard, especially during high school years, but their grades often do not reflect their skills and hard work.  In this book, I will show how such students can improve their effectiveness and efficiency as well as grades by using a course planning template.

This book addresses problems and challenges being faced by today's students.  For example, I will show how students can manage distractions caused by Facebook, SMS, and video games.  No, I am not suggesting decativating Facebook account and going into a cave!

This book will also show how I succesfully used a unique visual note mapping technique for planning and goal setting, to improve reading comprehension and writing, as well as test preparation.

Finally, another unique feature of this book is, it will include some "politically incorrect" tips if I believe they can help students.  For example, the conventional wisdom says, do not skip school and strive for perfect attendance.  However, I will show how strategic school skipping may be good for your grades!
